In case you haven’t heard, East LA’s Los Cinco Puntos is one of the best taco places in Los Angeles. Their tortillas are puffy, lightly fried magic. Their carnitas boil and bubble for hours in a copper pot, frying lightly at the edges. Their carne asada, chopped wildly into thick chunks, crisps at the edges and gives off a strong salty, beefy flavor. Pickled nopales cut through all the bullsh*t, and a warm salsa roja guides you home.
