Check out the new Minutiæ page, complete with videos instead of just text! Danny and I can’t believe such a thing is possible!
A couple weeks ago I redesigned the site for Minutiæ, the funny magazine I publish.
During this redesign, I wanted to focus on providing the least resistance to reading the issues, make it easier to share issues and articles, and create space for non-regular features (such as our ongoing Sesquicentennial Celebration). There is an ad space, but it’s only on the front page and we’re making tons of money off of it.
In the code, the site had been entirely redone in Wordpress. Instead of using Pages to organize the issues, a custom taxonomy with custom meta fields is used. This allows our Tumblr to easily grab the latest issue (with thumbnail) from the main site.
